After six years of silence, Croatian heavy metal outfit UNDERCODE is back! Widely considered one of the most promising propositions on the Croatian Heavy Metal scene in the late 90's and early 2000's is reunited and back in actionFew months after the release of their debut album "Enlightening the World" in 2002., UNDERCODE's music was included in the soundtrack of mega successful FPS game "Serious Sam -- The Second Encounter".Considered a classic game amongst PC gaming enthusiasts, Serious Sam provided a platform for the bands introduction to a global audience. Interestingly, whilst Serious Sam was a worldwide gaming sensation, the albums limited distribution in Australia, only added to the bands cult status abroad.In 2005. the band made a decision to make a long break which lasted 6 years.This year, members of UNDERCODE's Russian fan-site asked the band to re-unite, which was a spark that led to the reunion.Damir comments, "You can imagine our shock after 6 years to find that people were not only listening to our music, but calling for a second album. It's very humbling to know that your music lives on years after you had all but labelled it as a pleasant memory. This was the main reason we decided to reunite the band".Coincidentally, Serious Sam III BFE was in production at the same time that the band was considering a comeback. Upon receiving information that UNDERCODE would not be included in the upcoming game, fans from the Russian fan-site organised an online petition to CroTeam and Devolver. This subsequently led to the inclusion of UNDERCODE in the new game soundtrack, featuring two new tracks "The Gladiator" and "Final Fight.Much to the delight of the loyal fans, bass player Marko Karacic Karo, lead guitarist Ivan Speljak Jitz, drummer Marijo Jakopovic Brko and lead singer Damir Ljubicic (aka Damien) made a surprise appearance at Zagrebs InBar in July 2011. In following weeks, UNDERCODE spent most of their time laying tracks to their long awaited follow-up album "Postapocalyptic". The album is currently in final production, with an expected release mid 2012.The official launch of the Final Fight film clip was scheduled for 22nd November 2011, the same day when SERIOUS SAM 3 -- BFE stormed the stores.

About us
Grupa Undercode osnovana je 1997. godine i u kratkom vremenu postiže solidan uspjeh kod hrvatskih ljubitelja heavy metal glazbe. 2001. grupa se odlučila na snimanje prvog albuma koji je krajem te godine objavljen za australsko tržište, pod okriljem izdavačke kuće Metal Warriors. Odmah po izlasku albuma Enlightening The World glazba Undercodea mogla se čuti i u PC igri Serious Sam The Second Encounter koji je polučio izvanredan uspjeh diljem svijeta. Tri remiksirane verzije pjesama As Above, So Below, Enlightening The World i Freedom Is Mine osvojile su obožavatelje Serious Sama koji nažalost u to vrijeme nisu mogli kupiti CD jer grupa nije imala ugovor za područja Europe i Sjedinjenih Država. U narednim godinama grupa je aktivno nastupala i pripremala pjesme za drugi album sve do 2005. kada se pjevač odlučio preseliti u Australiju. Članovi Undercodea nikada nisu proglasili raspad grupe, već su se dogovorili da će napraviti dulju stanku, do nekih boljih vremena.Iako grupa preko pet godina nije bila aktivna, glazba Undercodea je živjela i osvajala nove poklonike, ponajprije zahvaljujući internetskoj distribuciji. Krajem 2010. do članova grupe dolazi informacija o postojanju brojnog internetskog fan cluba u Rusiji, a nakon početnog čuđenja članovi grupe dogovaraju ponovno oživljavanje i okupljanje sa ciljem snimanja nikad dovršenog i objavljenog drugog albuma. Istovremeno, nakon što su doznali da glazba Undercodea neće biti uključena u treći nastavak igre Serious Sam - BFE, razočarani ruski i fanovi iz drugih zemalja svijeta pokreću internet peticiju kojom zahtjevaju od izdavača i proizvođača ove igre da kontaktiraju grupu i ostvare novu suradnju. Njihova nastojanja su urodila plodom i kroz kraće vrijeme dolazi do kontakta CroTeama i tvrtke Devolver sa članovima Undercodea, a konačni rezultat dogovora je da će se dvije pjesme The Gladiator i Final Fight moći slušati tijekom borbi sa glavnim neprijateljima Serious Sama. U srpnju ove godine Marko Karačić Karo, Ivan Špeljak Jitz, Marijo Jakopović Brko i Damir Ljubičić Ljubo (aka Damien) održavaju kratki povratnički nastup u zagrebačkom InBaru, a zatim odlaze u studio gdje se kompletiraju snimke koje su trenutno u fazi miksanja i post-produkcije.22. studenog 2011. objavljen je Serious Sam 3, a promotivni video spot Final Fight možete pogledati na službenim stranicama grupe www.undercode.org, YouTube-u kanalu te mnogim Facebook stranicama. Izlazak dugoočekivanog drugog albuma Undercodea zakazan je za prvu polovicu 2012. godine.
